The Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings for 2018 just came out and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and National University of Singapore (NUS) are the top universities in the world from Asia. NTU moved up two places from last year to be at 11th place while NUS fell three places to be 15th place to be the. Both NTU and NUS have colleges that are partnered with Edukasyon.ph in promoting their programs to Filipinos.
QS World University Rankings are done by measuring the six metrics: Academic Reputation (40%), Employer Reputation (10%), Faculty/Student Ratio (20%), Citations per faculty (20%), International faculty/International student ratio (5% each).
NTU’s Nanyang Technopreneurship Center offers a Masters in Technopreneurship and Innovation while NUS’ Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy offers Masters and PhD courses related to Public Policy, Public Administration, and International Affairs.
For the Philippines, the University of the Philippines is now ranked 367th which is 7 places higher than last year. Ateneo De Manila University dropped from the 501-550th bracket last year to the 551-600th bracket currently. De La Salle University is currently at the 701-750th bracket while the University of Santo Tomas is at the 801-1000th bracket.
