Every Fresh Grad’s Guide to Pre-employment Requirements

So you’ve already landed a job. Congratulations! Welcome to the adult world! But before starting your first job, you will be asked to submit documents needed for employment.

There are companies that help you process these requirements. They give you the forms to be filled up, and they’ll take care of everything. However, there are also companies who require you to do everything by yourself. In case you got employed by the latter type of company, here’s a list of some of the requirements and how you can apply for them:

 

 

SSS (Social Security System) Number

Apply online here.  After you submit the form, you will receive an email confirmation which includes your SS number, a copy of your SS Number Slip and other instructions to complete your SS Number application. Print it and go to the nearest SSS Branch to submit the required documentary requirements together with the SSS Number slip.

 

Remember! Your membership status will remain “Temporary” until you submit the required supporting documents. This means that the SS Number can only be used for contribution payments. Only after you submit the required documents will you get the “Permanent” status and be qualified for SSS loans and benefits.

 

 

HDMF (PAG-IBIG) Number

 

Apply online here. You will receive an SMS after you submit your application. This will indicate your Registration Tracking Number (RTN). After two working days, you can verify your Pag-IBIG ID number thru text by sending the RTN number and your birthdate in this format: IDSTAT<space>[RTN]<space><Birthdate MM/DD/YYYY> and send To 0917 888 4363 or 0918 898 4363

 

 

PhilHealth Number

 

Register online here. After you complete the application form, you will receive an email with instructions.

 

 

TIN (Tax Identification Number)

 

Apply online here. You can also print the BIR Form 1902, fill it out, have your employer fill their part. Then submit the form to the Revenue District Office (RDO) that has jurisdiction over your employer.

 

 

NBI Clearance

Fill out the NBI Clearance application form online. Get an appointment and pay Php130 for the application in your preferred mode of payment (online, payment centers, etc) Go to your preferred NBI satellite office. Claim your NBI Clearance at Release area.

 

Remember, come early and be patient! Lines for NBI Clearance can get really long.
