1. Certificate in Professional Teaching Program

AMA Online Education

The Certificate in Professional Teaching Program provides knowledge in basic professional education. The course covers the techniques in teaching and principles of education technologies. The entire course offers 18 units in academic subjects and 6 units in a teaching practicum for elementary or high school. Once you have finished the 24 units, you’ll be qualified to take the Licensure Examination for Teachers!

2. Certificate in Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)

The TESOL Certification is a popular teaching qualification in the English language. With a TESOL certificate, you can teach English to non-native speakers around the world! The good news is you can take this course online at your convenience.

AMA Online Education offers a 120-hour TESOL Professional Certification through an interactive self-paced online course in just 14 weeks. Learn how to teach English using methods that are flexible to different learning environments. On top of that, you will learn how to create lesson plans that are effective for teaching presentation in the classroom.

3. Bachelor of Education Studies (BES)

UP Open University

The Bachelor of Education Studies (BES) program trains teachers for various types of education work.

You can choose from one of two specializations in the BES program:

  • Alternative Education Systems (AES) 

AES focuses on non-traditional approaches to teaching, such as home schooling, work-based learning, distance education, open learning, and community education.

  • Instructional Design and Technology (IDT)

IDT focuses on technology as a solution to educational challenges in school-based and alternative learning environments.

The BES program consists of 141 units of course work that you can take for 5 to 6 years. You will also be required to take 8 units of Physical Education courses and 6 units of National Service Training Program (NSTP) courses.
