University of Baguio (UB)

Formerly called the Baguio Technical and Commercial Institute, UB has grown from 5 course offerings for 80 students to 55 academic programs for around 15,000 students since it was established in 1948. Talk about 71 years of academic progress! The school is famous for consistently producing topnotchers in the Criminology Board Exam.

Thanks to its multiple campuses, namely,  the DMMMSU North La Union Campus (DMMMSU-NLUC), DMMMSU Mid La Union Campus (DMMMSU-MLUC), DMMMSU South La Union Campus (DMMMSU-SLUC). Plus, the Open University System (DMMMSU-OU)!

Throughout the years, the school gained prominence as an agricultural school and later on became a designated training center for agricultural and natural sciences in the region. Expert status!

At present, ISU has 11 campuses around the province. The school remains true to its motto of being “a university of people and nature” through its outstanding contributions to the country’s agricultural, aquatic, and natural resource sectors; ISU even won the prestigious Tanglaw Award from the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD) in 2015! #goals

Angeles University Foundation (AUF)

True to its name, AUF is a non-stock, non-profit Roman Catholic university in Angeles City, Pampanga. It was established in 1962 by the prominent Angeles family in hopes of providing quality education to the Central Luzon region. After only less than a decade of operation (nine years to be exact!), AUF received a university status from the Department of Education, Culture, and Sports. Tbh, that’s quite an achievement!

Five decades later, AUF has expanded its academic reach with 1 integrated school from kindergarten to senior high school, 8 colleges, 1 medical school, 1 law school, and 1 graduate school. Looks like AUF has got your education covered!

P.S. AUF also offers a Caregiver Program under the College of Nursing if you’re interested to enroll in a crash course program about this health care service.
