7 Student-Friendly Dorms In Davao City

As if finding the right school isn’t hard enough, finding the right dorm to stay is another thing you have to keep in mind when you start preparing for college.

While you can just go and choose the first dorm you visit, it’s always a good idea to think through it with much thought before you settle in your new home (read: at least for the next four or so years!!). After all, your choice can either give you good rest after a loooong day in school or give you more stress you don’t need. Of course, we hope it’s not the latter!

So whether you’re looking for a room to share or a whole place to yourself, we gotchu covered with a list of dorm options should you plan to study and rent a dorm in the Durian Capital of the Philippines, Davao City. Ready for a quick tour?

1. Amparo Dormitory

If peace and safety are on top of your considerations, then this three-storey dorm might be your top pick too! It has soundproof rooms and a complete security system (think guards and alarms) so you can rest or study comfortably without worrying that someone might break in at any moment. Sounds like peaceful nights ahead!

Do you want to have the room all for yourself? With a new friend? With a squad? This 26-unit dorm offers a single, double and triple occupancy options so you can find your best living setup. And while you’re at it, there’s a small garden in the dorm compound you can visit to help you think through your decision.

  • Near to Holy Child College of Davao, Inc. (Green Meadows Campus)
  • Accessible to food markets and commercial establishments
  • Has Wifi access in common dorm areas

3. Casa de Davao Ladies’ Dormitory

Not to be exclusive but this one’s for the ladies! This dorm gives off a warm and cozy vibe that hit the ~feels~. It’s complete with a kitchen and dining room (read: with a ref to store your midnight snacks!!), a laundry area and a tambayan spot to chill and hang out with your squad. Just like home!

  • Near to University of Mindanao (Bolton Campus)
  • Accessible to food markets and commercial establishments
  • Free room light and ceiling fan electricity

4. Cielo Vista Ladies Residence

A great location is always a plus point! This dorm’s strategically located near student-friendly spaces from shops, convenience stores to commuting points. In that way, you can walk from one place to another without spending too much time, money, and effort. And did we mention a nearby 24-hour carinderia with unlimited lugaw for just twenty pesos? You can thank us later!

  • Near to Malayan Colleges Mindanao
  • Kitchen and pantry in every floor
  • One ride away from downtown

5. C5 Dormitel

This dorm-slash-hotel caters to students, professionals, and tourists. Aside from a fully-furnished room you can enjoy, it also has its own laundry shop, salon, shopping hub, and clinic you can visit. Talk about convenience! Now you can have more study time and less time worrying about where to laundry your school OOTDs. #yassss

Aside from comfort, it’s nice to have an #aesthetic place to call your home. Not only does this dorm have a unique, modern design, it also has amenities that can make your dorm life a whole lot better! Case in point, a hot shower for your early morning classes and a well-lighted room and balcony for your study time. Not bad, right?

  • Near to Southern Philippines Medical Center

7. 100 Roxas Avenue

True to its name, this dorm raises the bar to a hundred with its high-tech facilities (read: biometric access). Complete with a cable connection, Wifi access, and an elevator service, staying in a spacious semi-furnished room might just boost your study productivity real quick!

  • Near to Ateneo de Davao University, University of the Immaculate Conception, San Pedro College, Holy Cross of Davao College, and University of Mindanao
  • Walking distance and easy transportation access to schools and offices
  • Has basement parking
