If you are going to have an entrance exam at Sta. Isabel College, then you are in luck! Because here’s a guide on how you can pass the Sta. Isabel College of Manila Entrance Exam.
1. Get a lot of reading materials.
There are different reviewers out there that are available online; UPCAT, DLSUCET, USTET, among others. Utilize them to make you more prepared for the entrance exam. Ask the Admissions the coverage of the exam and focus on those areas. Read not a day before but a week before the exam to give your mind some breathing space.
2. Write down the formulas and equations.
In every entrance exam is the algebraic and the trigonometrical part that will really drag your time. To be able to finish before getting to the next question, memorize the formulas days before the exam date. If possible, write them down on a set of quick notes that you can use to review. These cue cards are proven to be one of the most effective ways to pass the Mathematical part.
3. Check your basic grammar lessons.
The simple lesson of Subject-Verb Agreement has a long way to go when doing the entrance exams. You don’t have to be a Grammar Nazi to get it but just reviewing this part of the exam can increase your chances on the reading comprehension part.
4. Prepare a pre-test kit.
Having a pre-test kit can help you save a lot of time on the day of the exam. This means you are putting everything you are going to need to a bag that you will bring on the exam date. Never ever forget the exam permit as this is your passport to getting in at the school. Bring an extra sheet of paper and extra pens or pencils just to be sure.
5. Pack some light sweets.
The entrance exam can take at least 4 hours so better be prepared with your tummy before the exam. Don’t bring meals on the exam date but get some light snacks instead. This should not get much attention from your co-examinees. The best practice would be to bring candies that can fuel you up during the exam.
