Here’s Your Ultimate #FinalsWeek Survival Playlist

Just when you thought you were done submitting term papers, running around the campus, and spending your allowance for that major class project, here comes the boss stage of your college journey: FINAL EXAMS!

You’ve also probably drunk your nth cup of coffee and maxed out your loyalty card, staying all day at your fave coffee shop while reviewing. With the end of your semester just around the corner, you need the perfect playlist to help you survive. Here’s your ultimate playlist to keep you grinding through the #FinalsWeek:

“Ok, Let’s Get This Started” stage.

While collating all the notes you’ve made in each class (hope you really did!) and plotting your review sched, you’ll need these songs to set your mood and keep you motivated. Time to put that “Good Vibes Only” sign on your door.

I’ll Make A Man Out of You, Donny Osmond (Mulan soundtrack)

“Tranquil as a forest but on fire within; Once you find your center, you are sure to win”

Let’s be honest, the hardest part of reviewing is to actually start reviewing. Especially when your other self says “Netflix and chill”. With all those papers and PDFs you have to deal for the rest of the week, Mulan’s upbeat I’ll Make a Man Out of You song will energize you. Time to pull roll up those sleeves and get it started!

Ready for it, Taylor Swift

“Are you ready for it? Baby, let the games begin.”

Whether you like electropop or just a legit #Swifty, this song is a sure way to pump your adrenaline and yes, you heard Taylor right, let the games begin.

“Wait, Am I Still Alive?” stage.

The finals week is getting close, and so your preps are getting more intense. For days of solid work and focus, here are the songs to keep you energized and alive:

How Far I’ll Go, Auli’i Cravalho (Moana soundtrack)

“If the wind in my sail on the sea stays behind me. One day I’ll know, if I go there’s just no telling how far I’ll go.”

When the whole #hellweek idea is starting to overwhelm you, here’s a great song to keep you motivated. No matter how real the struggle is, just stay positive. You’ll never know what lies on the exam day, so might as well give your best shot at it!

Stayin’ Alive, Bee Gees

“Feel the city breakin’ and everybody shakin’. And we’re stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive”

If you’re ever feeling tired and losing the will to continue, let this all-time classic from Bee Gees pump you up. Just believe that you can pass the exams and get through it. Just keep on grinding and stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive, ah ah  ah ah… stayin alive!

From Now On, The Greatest Showman

“From now on…. what’s waited till tomorrow starts tonight”

With your then big eyes now looking chinky while staring all day at your laptop screen and reading notes, you’ve probably at this point wished you started reviewing ahead of time. But don’t give up yet! Now that you learned a great lesson from your experience, let this song from The Greatest Showman be your anthem from now on.

Never Enough, Loren Allred – The Greatest Showman

When you try to remember how much you’ve slept since you start reviewing and all you can think of is this line from The Greatest Showman, “Never enough, never, never,” it’s actually a signal that you need to stop for a moment and get some rest. While it’s good to keep your focus on your oncoming tests, it’s also important to take care of yourself and not exhaust your body too much.

“Finals Week Is Now Over And I Survived!” stage.

Light is coming, Ariana Grande

“The light is coming to give back everything the darkness stole”

Waiting for the results of your exams can also be frustrating. Here’s an an anthem to take all your exam worries. Just relax because the light is coming!

So there’s your ultimate finals week playlist to listen to. With the right determination and motivation, you can get through the finals week alive and kicking!
