1. Pia Wurtzbach
Truly the epitome of beauty and brains, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach started her modeling and acting career at an early age of 9. Alongside her budding career, Pia managed to finish her secondary education at ABS-CBN Distance Learning Center. She also finished her degree in culinary arts at the Center for Asian Culinary Studies in San Juan City.
2. Kathryn Bernardo
Popularly known as the country’s “teen queen”, Kathryn Bernardo attended OB Montessori Center Inc. prior to her acting debut in the early 2000s. Amidst her busy schedule because of different acting stints, Kathryn finished her high school through the home study program of Angelicum College. Currently, she is taking up a degree in management at Enderun Colleges.
3. Sarah Geronimo
One of the most popular and successful artists in the Philippines, Sarah Geronimo has studied Associate in Arts at the University of the Philippines Open University. Prior to this, she finished her primary education at Dominican School Manila and graduated from Angelicum College for her high school.
4. Maja Salvador
Despite her tight schedule and other commitments, Maja Salvador understands the value of education in her development. In 2016, Maja enrolled in AMA University’s Online Education program, taking up a degree in Business Administration.
5. Richard Gomez
Being in the entertainment industry for decades now, you’ll be surprised to know that Richard Gomez is an alumnus of the University of the Philippines Open University and took up an undergraduate degree in Associate in Arts. In fact, he also received his MBA at the University of Perpetual Help – System DALTA. His thesis for grad school titled “Development of a Business Strategy based on the Impact of Ecotourism at Lake Danao, Ormoc City” has received the Best Thesis in Business Administration award, with a grade of 98%.
6. Jodi Sta. Maria
Determined to pursue her studies, Jodi Sta. Maria enrolled for BS Psychology in Southville International School and Colleges through its INNOVE Education Solution. INNOVE allows students to study and complete requirements following a special schedule. In this program, students report to school at least once a week for written exams, hands-on exercises and discussions. Artists Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano are also attending INNOVE.
