Edtech social enterprise Edukasyon.ph makes it to Top 5 of Harvard Business School New Venture Competition

Social enterprise Edukasyon.ph made it to the top 5 at the Harvard Business School (HBS) Club of France New Venture Competition held in March 2015.

Out of the 30 applications that were received this year, only 5 finalist projects were invited to pitch in Paris at the Salons France-Amériques. Applications were accepted this year coming from 14 countries from the Southern US to Asia-Pacific and covering 10 industry sectors.

The event was hosted by the HBS Club of France and supported by over 20 European HBS Alumni Clubs.

“It was a tough competition and I’m glad that Edukasyon.ph made it to the top 5 of the ventures this year. I’m really happy that the value of our social mission of education is being recognized now on the international scene,” Edukasyon.ph Founder Henry Motte-Muñoz said.

This annual competition serves as an avenue for innovative projects from HBS alumni, providing access and exposure to potential investors and mentors. It was sponsored by Bain Capital Ventures, Stripe, TriNet, and Wework.

“This recognition is dedicated to all the Filipino youth. They are our inspiration in creating the Edukasyon.ph website that will assist them in making informed and sound career decisions,”Motte-Muñoz added.
