In its efforts to connect Filipino students to more education opportunities that will lead them to a career, education-technology platform Edukasyon has recently recorded a reach of one million monthly unique users. Over the past year, Edukasyon has also received over 65,000 inquiries and applications, making it one of, if not the most, viable platforms for schools and other institutions to connect with students.
“This milestone is just the first step. Our vision is to see a world where all ASEAN students & their parents are empowered to make informed higher education choices which will prepare students for their dream career. With this milestone, we believe we are on the right track,” said Edukasyon CEO and founder Henry Motte-Muñoz.
The platform, recognized for its innovation and commitment to its mission by ASEAN Youth Social Entrepreneurship Awards, French Tech Asia Award, and TAYO Awards, continuously amplify efforts to reach more senior high school and college students online and offline. All throughout the year, Edukasyon holds education fairs and workshops in key cities, and runs aggressive social media campaigns – while constantly improving the platform to answer to the needs of the students.
Over the last year, Edukasyon has held education fairs and workshops in key cities in Metro Manila, as well as Baguio, Dasmarinas, Imus, Bacoor, Sta. Rosa, Taytay, Urdaneta, Tacloban, Dipolog City, Zamboanga, Tagum, and General Santos City. This 2018, Edukasyon is set to mount fairs in Valenzuela, Malabon and Antipolo.
As for strengthening its online presence, the company also runs social media campaigns that educate and inspire Filipino students. The campaigns mainly focus on providing informative and engaging content about student life, career paths, scholarships and study abroad opportunities. In fact, Edukasyon’s social media accounts have recorded an organic reach of almost two million just over the last month. The post engagement also went up 331% compared to the previous month.
“This validates just how much students, and their parents, want to make the right choice when it comes to such an important decision, and investment. Choosing the right school, and the right course, ultimately will best equip students for their dream career path,” added Motte- Muñoz.
Founded in 2015, Edukasyon originally started serving the niche segment of senior high schools in Metro Manila – allowing students to search and apply to a few dozen schools. Since then, the company has expanded to related verticals, launching college, technical-vocational, and study abroad search-and-apply services. Edukasyon has also expanded to other regions in the Philippines, with over 40% of its users coming from outside Metro Manila. By 2020, it aims to help 50 million students in the ASEAN region make better decisions regarding their higher education.
