Edukasyon.ph, Gensan vow to go extra mile for education

GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Speaking to over 18,000 student attendees of the first Mindanao education fair, Edukasyon.ph, along with the local government of General Santos City,  reaffirmed their commitment in making education opportunities accessible and reachable to the Filipino youth.

“Just like this fair, our initiatives will continue to empower students around the country and provide them the right information so they can make the right education choice,” Edukasyon.ph Growth Manager Gino Canlas said during the Edukasyon.ph Education Fair held in the city last August 07.

“Our team will continue to work on making students lives easier. We see the importance of education as the most basic need for a country to develop new technologies and contribute to global success,” he added.

Citing the current efforts of the local government, Gensan City Mayor Ronnel Rivera emphasized the significance of partnerships with organizations to ensure the sustainability of education initiatives.

“An educated generation will give rise to economic competitiveness and global prosperity,” Mayor Rivera said. “[We have] never been complacent in ensuring that initiatives on education will be our priority. Four years ago, we have already put in place the foundation that led to various education initiatives.”

“Gensan is more than willing to give an extra mile for our education initiatives. Sustainability is a must,” he further commented.

The Gensan Education Fair was the first of the series of education fairs of Edukasyon.ph that rolled out nationwide this August. This event provided a venue for students and parents to discover senior high tracks and career pathways; inquire to senior high schools, colleges, and universities; and apply to these schools using the Edukasyon.ph online platform.

The highlight of the event included career talks delivered by speakers who discussed the four senior high tracks and the various careers these tracks can lead to.

“Our goal is to help students make informed decision for their dream career. Both our education fairs and website are designed to serve as a guidance tool to help students map their education pathway leading to their dream careers,” Edukasyon.ph Head of Sales Daniel Macusi said.

The next fairs will be held in Paranaque on August 30-31; and Taytay, Rizal on August 31, and September 01 and 08.

There will also be education fairs in Pasay on September 4-5; Malabon on September 6-7; Makati on September 6-8; Lipa, Batangas on September 7-8; Tuguegarao on September 16-17; and Antipolo on September 16 and 23.
