Edukasyon.ph, ISCAHM sign MOA for better access to culinary education

Social enterprise Edukasyon.ph and the International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management (ISCAHM) have joined forces to create an online education information service to give students in the National Capital Region, Cebu City, and Pampanga better access to culinary and hotel management education.

Edukasyon.ph Founder Henry Motte-Muñoz and ISCAHM Co-Founder Chef Norbert Gandler inked the agreement on January 18 at the ISCAHM main campus in Quezon City.

“We are very excited and happy to be partners with ISCAHM, a world-class training center which aims to provide students theoretical knowledge and hands-on training required in the hospitality and food service industry. With so many students interested in becoming a chef, this partnership can help so many students find about the different educational and career possibilities in culinary studies and in the hospitality industry,” said Edukasyon.ph CEO Linartes Viloria.

The partnership will help students explore a variety of academic options through their ISCAHM school account on Edukasyon.ph website which features information about their Senior High School tracks, diploma, intermediate, and short culinary courses, events, admissions, enrolment announcements, scholarships and qualification requirements. This partnership will cover ISCAHM campuses in Quezon City, Cebu City, and Pampanga.

“ISCAHM’s partnership with Edukasyon.ph aims to assist aspiring young chefs to know more about the culinary education we offer, and the opportunities that await them upon completion of our courses,” ISCAHM Group of Schools Business Development Officer Bambi Fernandez De Castro said.

This June with ISCAHM’s Senior High School Program, students can start their culinary careers and “Train with the Champions” as early as Grade 11 this coming school year in ISCAHM Pampanga and ISCAHM Cebu. ISCAHM will be offering the Senior High School Technical Vocational Livelihood Track with specializations in Culinary and Pastry Arts.

“We are excited that more young students can as early as now start their dreams to be a chef through our Senior High School Program on Culinary or Pastry Arts.  As early as Grade 11, they can already start learning the basic theories and skills they need to become chefs,” said De Castro.

Internationally Certified Culinary Education

Upon graduation from the ISCAHM Senior High School program, students can earn two (2) TESDA National Certification II certificates.  These certificates can help them qualify them for jobs in the culinary and hospitality industry.  For those who want to upgrade their skills, they can apply for the 8-month shortened diploma course where they can earn an ISCAHM diploma and an Australian Certificate III.

ISCAHM is partners with Culinary Solutions Australia for the certification of skills of their students. This certificate is recognized by the Australian government and the Commonwealth Nations. Earning this certificate signifies successful completion of Australian competencies, which adds credit to and upgrades an individual’s qualification as a kitchen professional.

“We support Edukasyon.ph’s goal in providing more educational opportunities for young people.  Together, we can achieve our goal in providing our youth with everything they need to start planning for their future,” De Castro added.

Edukasyon.ph-ISCAHM partnership is spearheaded by Edukasyon.ph University Engagement Manager Eunice Guzon. Through Edukasyon.ph’s Online College Application and Online Tuition payment services, ISCAHM students can directly enroll in their chosen course and pay their tuition via Edukasyon.ph Quick Apply tab.

“We care for our youth’s future. With the signing of the MOA with ISCAHM, Edukasyon.ph is taking one step forward to bringing Filipino culinary enthusiasts closer to their dreams. We believe that this partnership is one of the many steps we have to take in order to provide our students quality information that can give them better chances to brighter jobs,” Edukasyon.ph Founder Henry Motte-Muñoz emphasized.
