Edukasyon.ph launches Northern Luzon Career Clinic Caravan

Social enterprise Edukasyon.ph kicked off its Northern Luzon Career Clinic Caravan at Pines City National High School and Irisan National High School on October 8 and October 12 respectively.

“We are excited to be visiting the provinces of Cordillera Region to bring Edukasyon.ph services closer to our students. We want more students to discover educational opportunities in the region and all over the Philippines, that will help them plan for the jobs they want to have in the future,” said Linartes Viloria, Chief Executive Officer, Edukasyon.ph.

For its Northern Luzon Career Caravan, Edukasyon.ph will be visiting Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province.

“At our career clinics, we help students navigate through our website to give students a chance to explore what they can be when they grow up through our site. We understand that not everybody have computers or Internet access, so at our clinics we give them these tools to facilitate the career decision process,” said Viloria.

Edukasyon.ph is a social enterprise that maintains a website of schools, college programs, tech-voc courses and scholarships for Filipino students. To bring the website closer to students, Edukasyon.ph has been conducting career clinics at the different high schools to provide incoming college students an opportunity to find programs that correspond to their interests and skills.

Currently on beta, the site has 5,300 universities, colleges and senior schools, 48,500 courses, and 2,800 scholarships on its database.

During the clinics students can browse for FREE the college and technical-vocational courses, schools, and scholarships all in the country. These clinics can also help guidance counselors and parents give students a diverse set of career options and courses offered nationwide. Career clinics have also been conducted in the province of Kalinga and the National Capital Region including the cities of Manila, Marikina, Taguig, and San Juan.

“We believe that students have better chances to brighter jobs if they are given the right information on the different educational opportunities out there. Our role at Edukasyon.ph is to give them the information that can help them choose wisely for brighter futures,” said Henry Motte-Muñoz, Founder, Edukasyon.ph.

The Edukasyon.ph Northern Luzon Caravan career clinics were organized in cooperation with volunteers from the National Youth Commission Northern Luzon, UP Subol Society Baguio Chapter, and the UP Baguio Rotaract Club who are bent on helping their fellow youth make the right career choices.
