Edukasyon.ph newest web developer, Joma Minoza, was awarded as one of the Firefox Student Ambassadors of 2016!
Firefox student ambassadors are individuals who are passionate about Mozilla, the open web, and the many benefits of Firefox and its products. They are a global pack of do-gooders and dedicated defenders of the Web!
Creative and resourceful student ambassadors lead campaigns and projects at their colleges and in their communities to encourage others to contribute to Mozilla and utilize their products. Mozilla Firefox and the student ambassadors play a large role in helping to improve the global experience of people on the Web.
Student Ambassadors are provided with the opportunity to develop their potential and gain new skills in a very open and collaborative environment. The program provides the necessary training and support from other Mozilla contributors worldwide to help them accomplish their goals. They are given the opportunity to plan and launch their own campaigns/ events and work with a dynamic group of people in the community. They can also choose to learn from higher-level events organized by local Mozilla Reps by helping in the event production. By being involved with campaigns and events, they get the chance to network with professionals and other students in the industry.
At the Firefox Student Ambassadors program, student ambassadors do not promote things to make profit or make anyone gain profit. They develop a sense of volunteerism and they are passionate to keep the Web open and get more people to join in the cause. They ensure that everyone will be given a fulfilling volunteer experience.
Congratulations, Joma! Your Edukasyon.ph family is proud of you!
