The Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) has signed a memorandum of agreement with social enterprise Edukasyon.ph for its Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM) careers information campaign for high school students.
“Our social mission in Edukasyon.ph is to influence students in making informed decisions on their career plans. We do this by providing them better access to information on career information, courses, scholarships, and other academic opportunities in universities and colleges through our website. As one of the fast growing industries, we want students particularly those about to enter senior school this June, to know more about this industry that is providing so many jobs to young people today,” Edukasyon.ph CEO Linartes M. Viloria said.
The Edukasyon.ph and IBPAP partnership will showcase careers in the different areas of the IT-BPM areas. Career Videos of the IBPAP’s member companies will showcase professionals who will talk about their journey through their careers, their education, and the nature of their jobs.
“We are happy to be working with Edukasyon.ph in highlighting the careers that are available in this industry. There are so many opportunities for first time job seekers, and so many avenues for growth for the more experienced professionals. We want to share this good news through this partnership by bringing this information closer to students, parents and schools,” said Jose Mari Mercado, President and CEO, IBPAP.
The Edukasyon.ph “I Want to Be” section features careers in different industries. It gives students and professionals on skills requirements of the industry with specific details on average salary, job description, skills and competencies, career progression, employment opportunities, and key players.
“IBPAP and Edukasyon.ph are aligned with improving the lives of Filipinos through the facilitation of access to education information and industry needs. This initiative with IBPAP will go a long way in preparing young people for the world of work,” Edukasyon.ph Founder Henry Motte-Muñoz added.
