Imus education fair to provide closer access to schools, scholarships

IMUS, CAVITE – Over 1,500 Grade 12 students are expected to attend the two-day Imus education fair this November 06-07 where they can choose the right course and discover education opportunities from various public and private colleges and universities.

Mayor Emmanuel Maliksi is expected to open the plenary session on the second day where students can learn more about choosing the right college degree; getting hired in a job; and starting a small business enterprise. The education fair will be held at the Robinsons Place Imus.

“Our goal is to help students make an informed decision about their dream career. Both our education fairs and website are designed to serve as a guidance tool to help students map their education pathway leading to their dream careers,” Edukasyon.ph Head of Partnerships Daniel Macusi said.

“Students not only can learn about their opportunities after the senior high program but also know how they can have a quality education that would get them to an employable job,” Macusi said. “It is important that we are giving the students a chance to have a choice as this would affect their future and our future as a developing country.”

The education fair will provide a venue for students and parents to discover college courses and career pathways; inquire to schools, colleges, and universities; and apply to these schools using the www.edukasyon.ph online platform.

This is the second education fair happening in Cavite. Last August 16, Edukasyon.ph held the largest South Luzon education fair in Dasmarinas helping more than 13,000 students choose the right senior high track and apply to education opportunities.

The education fair was made possible with the help of ASUS Philippines, Netopia, Lazada.com.ph, Maynilad, Shopback, Chevrolet, and TaskUs. Local government units and Department of Education – School Division Offices are also working together with Edukasyon.ph to address the education needs of the students.

“We seek to make education reachable to every Filipino child regardless of their social status. Edukasyon.ph empowers students by giving them all the important education to career information that they need,” Macusi said.
