Get a chance to be trained in a top-notch culinary school!

Let’s be honest here. Culinary school can be very expensive – which is probably one of the reasons why you clicked on this article, trying to look for culinary scholarships.

To be a finely educated chef, you need access to a complete set of cooking tools, equipment, and a great selection of ingredients. Good culinary schools make these essentials available to their students.

Plus, more than learning about cooking, baking, and preparing food correctly, culinary school teaches you how to make it in the highly competitive and diverse food industry.

These are just a couple of reasons why culinary arts tend to be more expensive compared to other college courses. Fortunately, aspiring professional chefs can find a good number of culinary scholarships in Manila!

  1. Culinary Education Foundation, Inc., The Center for Culinary Arts, Manila

CCA Manila offers internationally accredited Diploma and Add-on programs. The school also provides a topnotch learning environment with new facilities like the CCA Grand Kitchen and Culinary Research Studio.

The Culinary Education Foundation, Inc. (CEF) is the Center for Culinary Arts’ (CCA Manila) social advocacy arm. Established in September 2001, the foundation raises funds through corporate sponsors and funding agencies, consultancy services, and special projects among others.

In 2017, CCA helped provide vocational scholarships to 200 beneficiaries including indigent youth, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Sto. Domingo Quezon City and its network.

  1. Alain Ducasse Culinary Arts Scholarship Grant, Enderun Colleges

One of their Named Industry Partner grants, the Alain Ducasse Culinary Arts Scholarship, is for incoming freshmen who plan to take up BS International Hospitality Management specializing in Culinary Arts.

This renewable grant offers deserving students Php300,000.00 to be applied to tuition and other fees.

  1. Academy for International Culinary Arts (AICA) Scholarship Grants

The Academy for International Culinary Arts (AICA) claims to give 80% hands-on cooking time to their students instead of just classroom-focused teaching.

They offer culinary diploma courses with various scholarship programs.

The High Achievers Scholarship grant is offered to deserving students who have shown exemplary academic achievements. The school also offers a Student Leaders Scholarship and Alumni Referral Scholarship.

Check out the school website to know more about the culinary courses they offer.

  1. Dusit Hospitality Management College (DHMC) Professional Advancement Program

Dusit Hospitality Management College fully integrates their programs with the Dusit D2 Hotel, providing their students with practical learning and working experience. Housed in the Dusit D2 The Fort, the college gives students access to world-class facilities including kitchens and restaurants. The culinary programs are in collaboration with French school Institut Paul Bocuse under their Professional Advancement Centre.

The school offers merit-based scholarships of up to 50% to worthy applicants.

World-class culinary education is now more accessible with the support of these institutions. Aspiring Filipino chefs, you don’t need to get intimidated by the high tuition fees for you to pursue your dream anymore.
