Lifebank Scholar Spotlight: Aubrey Garol

“Come out of your shell. Grab every opportunity that comes your way.”

19 year-old Lifebank scholar Aubrey Lorraine P. Garol said this as she shared how her dream of a good life for her family motivates her to be the best that she can be.

“All I want is for my family to have a stable life. I will do everything to help my family. And no matter what happens, my family will always be my priority and my inspiration,” she added.  

Aubrey is taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English at Negros Oriental State University. Aside from garnering academic awards, she also excels in extracurricular activities.

In fact, she was one of Lifebank Foundation’s representatives to its first-ever Youth Solutions Forum organized by the United Nations Sustainable Development Network Solutions held last 2017 at the Ateneo de Manila University. She also facilitated the leadership summer camps held in various schools hosted by Lifebank Foundation.

“Lifebank was Lord’s instrument to help me fulfill my dreams,” said Aubrey. She also shared that it is important to let go of the things that hold you back, that you need to face your fears and always be confident.

Aubrey is one of the beneficiaries of Lifebank Foundation’s Education Scholarship Program. The program provides financial assistance including tuition and miscellaneous fees to deserving dependents of LBF’s Ikabuhi Microfinance Program (IMP) clients. Through this, Lifebank Foundation aims to help beneficiaries to have better career opportunities in the future by helping them get a vocational or bachelor’s degree of their choice.
