Scholarships, Alert! Pack Your Bags and Study in the UK

World-class education. Multicultural society. Thriving economy. And an instagram-worthy backdrop wherever you go. #facts

It’s quite easy to understand why international students fly from all around the world to study in the UK. More than half a million students do every year, and the number just keeps on growing! The only thing lacking now really is you packing your bags and booking the next flight in. Only if it weren’t that expensive, right? (Hint: IT IS.)

That’s where scholarships come in! Studying in the UK can be really expensive, especially for non-EU students. But it doesn’t mean UK education is off the table. Nikita Cotzias, a recent MA in Political Psychology graduate, shares how receiving the International Taught Masters Scholarship at the University of Kent greatly helped her in pursuing her studies abroad:

“I chose to study at Kent because of the school’s reputation in my field, political psychology. I would not have been able to make the most out of this experience without the help of the international scholarship, so University of Kent’s scholarship opportunities certainly helped cement my decision to enrol. Studying at Kent is an incredible experience, especially as an international student!

Not only are you able to explore a new country and work with some of the best scholars in your field, but you are also given the opportunity to meet people with similar interests from all over the world. The global hangouts are incredibly useful when meeting other international students.

Being an international student is different than being a student from the UK. You may have the same workload as non-international students, but you also have the challenge of adjusting to a new country and culture. It helps to be able to meet students who are in the same situation that you are and build a support system.”

Like Nikita, studying in the UK can be your next adventure! The University of Kent, one of the UK’s leading universities, has plenty of scholarship offerings available for international students. It’s just a matter of finding the right one for you! Check your match:
