No one likes studying on a school break. Like ever.
But maybe we’ll convince you to reconsider your summer plans—even if it’s just for a week or two. After all, it’s good to shake up some good ol’ plans once in a while for something new, exciting, and enriching. This coming school break, we suggest spending a few days in the EHL Junior Academy!
What is EHL Junior Academy?
EHL Junior Academy a.k.a. Summer Academy is a one or two-week summer camp which aims to help students get a brief yet insightful glimpse of the hospitality management world.
Offered by EHL, the first Swiss Hospitality Management school, students can expect firsthand training from the world’s best chefs and hoteliers. And we’re not even exaggerating: EHL is recognized as the best hospitality management school in the world. So yes, the hype is real. Plus, we’ve got good reasons why it’s going to be a summer well-spent for you at EHL.
You’ll still go to places, only better.
Summer breaks are when students are free to explore new places and just have fun. Joining the Junior Academy gives you that freedom plus the thrill of studying abroad and discovering a new country!
Since EHL is located in Switzerland, you can already imagine yourself visiting the Alps, skiing in the mountains, and eating lots of chocolate and cheese as part of your itinerary outside class sessions.
You can ~finally~ make time for what you really want!
Aside from barkada hangouts, summer is also a perfect time to learn something new! While regular classes teach you subjects relevant to your course program, summer classes let you learn other subjects you’re interested in outside your field.
At EHL’s Junior Academy, an introductory course in hospitality will give you basic understanding and appreciation of the field. This gives you a headstart if ever you decide to take a hospitality course in college. If not, then at least you have a background in it. Win-win, right?
… and learn it in a cool learning environment!
While we know studying on a school break isn’t exactly more exciting than going to the beach, the Junior Academy isn’t going to be like any other class.
The EHL Junior Academy offers a mix of interactive workshops and fun activities to introduce the art of Hospitality Management—from the basic concepts to the latest trends in the industry. Depending on the focus area you choose, you’ll even get to be a chef or hospitality professional for a day! How cool is that?
You will hit two (or three) birds with one stone.
Studying abroad can be really fun but it can also be quite expensive. We get it. The good news is, enrolling in the EHL Junior Academy is actually more of an investment rather than an expense.
Aside from the fun and learning, being part of the EHL Junior Academy is a great experience that will help strengthen your university application. Not only does it look good on paper, it also gives you valuable insights on hospitality management that you can talk about in your application essay and interview. Your future self will thank you for it.
… and even make new friends along the way!
What’s a fun summer break without enjoying it with other people, right? During the EHL Junior Academy, you’ll meet students from all around the world who share the same interest in hospitality management as you do.
With endless learning and team work opportunities, we’re pretty sure the summer camp will not end without you gaining more friends than you came with. Also, with a gala dinner prepared by EHL’s chefs!
