Top HRM schools in the Philippines

The Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management or BS HRM is one of the most popular courses for students. 1. Lyceum of the Philippines

The College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management of the Lyceum of the Philippines was founded in 1998 and has since been dedicated to produce highly skilled professionals in the field. The college offers two degree programs –the BS International Tourism and Travel Management; and the BS International Hospitality Management which has specializations in the following areas: Hotel and Restaurant Administration, Cruise Line Operations in Culinary Arts, Cruise Line Operation in Hotel Services, and Cruise and Kitchen Operations. Aside from the university’s long standing Center of Excellence designation from CHED, its also has a Level 4 (highest level accreditation) from PACUCOA.

2.    De La Salle College of Saint Benilde

One of the leading universities in the country, the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde boasts of its learner-centered programs in its School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (SHRIM). With its high-class kitchen laboratories and facilities, students are provided with both theoretical and applied learnings.

The university has partnered with Institut Vatel, a world-renowned school in France. Through this partnership, Benilde is also known as Vatel Manila. Benilde’s International Hospitality Management course provides an international double-degree program. This degree allows students to benefit from an international curriculum and network that they can use when they graduate.

3. Our Lady of Fatima University

The Our Lady of Fatima University’s College of Hospitality and Institutional Management provides students with an extensive ladderized curriculum. Students under its Hotel and Restaurant Management program can choose from three different specializations based on their particular interest: Culinary Arts and Food Service Entrepreneurship, Hospitality Services in Cruise Line Operations, and Leisure and Amusement Operations.

4. University of Santo Tomas

The University of Santo Tomas has a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management degree. The program equips students with knowledge and skills on various areas of HRM including tourism, institutional housekeeping, planning and development, foreign language, international cuisine, entrepreneurship, and a lot more. The program is also designated as a Center of Excellence by CHED.

5. University of San Carlos

The University of San Carlos Department of Hospitality and Tourism offers undergraduate and graduate programs in Hospitality Management, Tourism Management, and Culinary Arts. Aside from the college courses, the institution also serves as a TESDA-recognized assessment center for technical-vocational courses like bartending, commercial cookery, front office, food and beverage service, and housekeeping. USC-DHT is also a proud member of the Regional Ecotourism Council, Hotel, Resort, and Restaurant Association of Cebu (HRRAC), Inc., and Association of Administrators of Hospitality, Hotel, and Restaurant Management Educational Institutions (AARHMEI).
